A woman remains in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections and a man is out on bond after a Sunday fight.

Authorities say around 10:00 PM, deputies responded to a call on MLK Jr Drive in reference to a family disturbance.

When the deputy got there and attempted to calm things down, the man allegedly tried to fight him.

Gray Cooper was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. He was taken into custody and later released on recognizance by a Justice Court Judge.

Courtney Taylor was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and a probation violation. Taylor is in MDOC custody.
