An 18-wheeler hanging off the bridge on I-55 north near the Woodrow Wilson exit held up all northbound traffic for more than an hour on Monday afternoon.
Officials said neither the driver or any other motorists were injured.
Wreckers were called to the scene to get the cab off the railing so that the truck could be towed away safely and open the interstate back up to northbound traffic. Traffic was flowing in all lanes again by about 6 p.m.
The Jackson Police Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol worked the accident.
