3 Arrested After $86K In Cash, Drugs, And Guns Seized From Jones County Home

Jones County Sheriff’s Department narcotics agents, supported by the JCSD Patrol Division and SWAT Team, executed a narcotics search warrant at 133 Magnolia Road in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Agents located a substantial amount of illegal narcotics including:
-Methamphetamine
-Fentanyl
-Hydrocodone
-MDMA
In addition, Anabolic Steroids and other yet-to-be-identified narcotics were located.
Narcotics agents also confiscated fifteen firearms including pistols, rifles, and shotguns along with several thousand rounds of ammunition.
Narcotics agents arrested 44-year-old Adam Doherty at his home charging him with Trafficking A Controlled Substance and Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Distribute While In Possession Of A Firearm.
During the search warrant execution, two separate individuals arrived at the residence in two different vehicles. Both were arrested and charged. 34-year-old Megan Jim was charged with Trafficking A Controlled Substance.
25-year-old Hunter Dearmon was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
“Following an extensive investigation into illegal narcotics possession and trafficking, Jones County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant which led to the arrest of Adam Doherty at his residence,” notes JCSD Lieutenant Jake Driskell.
Driskell adds, “The residence on Magnolia Road contained copious amounts of illegal narcotics, weapons, ammunition, and approximately $86,000 in cash which was all confiscated.”
Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin notes, “Residents of Jones County desire to live in drug-free neighborhoods. Our team is working extremely hard to locate, investigate, and build illegal narcotics cases. Once these steps are done, then we arrest suspects and shut down their illegal narcotics operations. If you are dealing illegal narcotics in Jones County, you should sleep with one eye open because you never know when we are coming.”
