An 18-year-old in Alabama drowned in George County on Saturday.
According to the George County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to the area of the Escatawpa River Bridge on Highway 612 about a possible drowning.
Rescue Divers from George County Search and Rescue Dive Team were able to locate the body of a male after a search of the waterway was conducted.
George County Coroner, DeeAnn Murrah identified the deceased male as 18-year-old Jose Garcia of Mobile, AL.
George County Search and Rescue, George County First Responders, Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, George County Emergency Management, and ASAP Ambulance Services responded to the scene.
