17-Year-Old Arrested For Murder Of 15-Year-Old In Jackson

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, at approximately 12:42 AM, 17-year-old Mia Shavers was arrested for Capital Murder.

According to Jackson police, Shavers was involved in an attempted carjacking.

The carjacking happened on Langley Drive near Highway 18 on Saturday, March 25.

It led to the death of 15-year-old Emmanuel Lewis who was also involved in the carjacking.
