Monday Weather: more hot and rainy days ahead

Mary Apel

From the National Weather Service:

Elevated heat stress due to continued hot and humid conditions are expected this week. Heat indices will range from 106 to 110 degrees along the interstate 55 corridor and points westward. Elsewhere, heat indices will rise to near 105 degrees. Heat stroke and exhaustion is likely with prolonged outdoor activity. Take frequent breaks and hydrate when working outdoors!

Today temps will reach the 90s fairly early. Some scattered showers and storms are expected, especially to the South and East. Overnight temps cool only into the 70s with partly cloudy skies.
