Two women were shot sitting at a traffic light at Capitol and O’Ferrel Street Tuesday, officials said.

Jackson Police Department Deputy Chief Deric Hearn said Sedrica Robinson, 19, and Reanna Shelton, 20, were sitting in their vehicle at the light when a gold Impala drove up next to them with a male and a female inside. The couple allegedly started shooting at them, hitting Robinson in the left arm and Shelton in the hand.

The victims drove themselves to the hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Shelton told police there was a dispute over a missing television.

Hearn says warrants are forthcoming on suspects for aggravated assault and drive-by shooting.
