JPD investigates drive-by shooting involving juveniles

Jackson police are investigating a drive-by shooting on Bienville drive that happened Tuesday.

A release from Deputy Chief Deric Hearn says four juveniles driving a white Honda Accord allegedly fired shots at an 11-year-old boy, who was hit in the legs and the shoulder, and a 14-year-old girl who was grazed in the neck.

Police said the victims were playing basketball int heir driveway when the Honda, which had tinted windows, opened the doors and shot at them. Other juveniles who lived at that home returned fire at the Accord, which was later found abandoned at Wood Village Apartments on Highland Drive.
