According to reports, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating a shooting involving an officer on Friday night.

The shooting took place on Old Canton Road in Jackson, and MBI is, as routine, looking into the situation.

Once MBI has finished their investigation, they will turn that information over to the District Attorney’s office.

The condition of the officer and the suspect is unclear. Very little information has been released at this time, but we have reached out to authorities for more details and will update when possible.
