Information came out Tuesday that an Ole Miss Football player was shot early Monday morning in Omaha, Nebraska, where the Rebels baseball team had just clinched the national title.

Ole Miss wide receiver Drew Burnett was shot in a drive-by in Omaha, police tell reporters. The call came in to dispatch around 1:14 a.m. Monday that a 19-year-old man had been shot, authorities said.

Witnesses told police the gunshots appeared to have come from a passing pickup truck.
