Deputies in Lee County have arrested a woman on an MDOC warrant, and she was then allegedly found to be carrying meth.

On Tuesday the Lee County Sheriff’s Department was conducting a safety checkpoint on CR 1389 in the Saltillo area.

Lecia Ann Wood came through the safety checkpoint and had a suspended driver’s license. Upon running her information, the Deputy was advised that Wood had an active warrant with MDOC for probation violation.

Wood was transported to the Lee County Adult Detention Center where she was searched, and methamphetamine was allegedly found on her. Wood was booked for the warrant for MDOC and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.
