Three people have been arrested in the shooting death of Jimmy Pierce last week on North West Street.

According to WLBT, Jackson Police Deputy Chief Deric Hearn said LeAndrew Williams, 15, Corey Hodge Jr., 19, and 24-year-old Bonny Fields had been taken into custody and charged with capital murder in Pierce’s death. Pierce was in the 1600 block of West Street when he was shot.

According to WAPT’s Erin Pickens, Pierce was shot twice in the chest after his attackers demanded his wallet and he told them he didn’t have any money.

Pierce died at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

WLBT reports that the trio turned themselves in to police Wednesday afternoon after a family member recognized the car and confronted them.
