Jackson’s 39th homicide took place Sunday when a man was shot to death inside his car.
Jackson Police Department says the incident the Pine Ridge Gardens Apartments on Rebel Woods Drive around 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Investigators say they are trying to pin down a motive and have good leads on a suspect.
