A Tupelo woman was arrested after a child tested positive for narcotics.
On April 5, Tupelo Police were notified by Mississippi Child Protective Services Case Workers of a possible case. A 3-year-old had reportedly been exposed to illegal narcotics while in the custody of their mother.
Drug screens were performed on the child and positive tests were returned for the illegal narcotics.
Child Protective Services took custody of the child. On April 4, Tupelo Police arrested 44-year-old Landria Harris of Tupelo for Felony Child Abuse.
On April 7, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set bond at $100,000. This case will be presented to the next term of the Lee County Grand Jury.
