WLBT is reporting that a 71-year-old woman was shot during the course of an attempted robbery.
Jackson Police Department Deputy Chief Deric Hearn said the incident occurred at Black’s Food Market. The shooter was allegedly trying to rob the woman.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, but so far her condition has not been released.
Police have released surveillance photos of some possible suspects in the case.
