A Vicksburg teen has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in a 2020 murder, according to WLBT.
Kemond Jones was 15 years old when Ethan Powell, 18, was shot to death on Abraham Drive in Vicksburg. Powell suffered eight gunshot wounds and died after being transported to the hospital.
Jones had said in court that he felt his life was threatened when Powell advanced toward him, but officials said he was shot in the back four times.
