Police officers arrested a couple from Jackson after the driver ran from officers with her baby on her lap.

On Thursday, Flowood Police arrested a couple after the driver allegedly ran from police with an infant in her lap.

A release from Flowood PD says officers saw a stolen vehicle on Lakeland Drive coming into the city from Jackson and attempted to stop it. The vehicle refused to stop and began to run from police. After a short pursuit, officers were able to take the driver and occupant into custody without incident.

During that stop, though, officers found that during the pursuit, the driver was holding an infant child.

The driver was identified as Kimberly Nicole Davis of Jackson. The passenger was identified as Deandre Anthony Harper also of Jackson. Both subjects were charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing or Eluding Law Enforcement, Possession of a Weapon by Felon, Child Endangerment, and Possession of Schedule II Narcotics.

Police say the stolen vehicle was taken during an armed carjacking from the city of Jackson. The Flowood Police Department would like to thank the Jackson Police Department for their assistance in this case.
