Jackson police officer allegedly shot by his wife in Clinton

A Jackson police officer was treated and released after police say his wife shot him Tuesday morning.

According to city of Clinton spokesperson Amanda Jones, police received a call of a domestic disturbance that included a shooting. Police say four shots were fired.

Jones tells reporters that the officer was hit in his arm. His wife, Willa Russell, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic violence.
