A Jackson woman has been arrested after police say she fatally shot her ex-boyfriend.
On Friday, the Jackson Police Department began investigating a Domestic Aggravated Assault that occurred on Watersview Drive. Police say when they got there, they found that Allison Ballard, 49, had allegedly shot her ex-boyfriend.
The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Ballard was arrested and charged with Domestic Aggravated Assault.
On Sunday, detectives learned that the victim had died from his injuries at the hospital, upgrading the charges against Ballard to murder.
