On Tuesday, February 6, Lowndes County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at a house on Wolf Trail in Lowndes County.
Once on scene deputies found a victim with injuries consistent with a knife wound.
The victim was transported to BMHGT and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
23-year-old Macy Leighann Barnes was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence and aggravated assault.
Barnes has been booked into the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center previously for domestic violence, no tag, no insurance, failure to appear, and burglary.
Barnes remains in custody and is awaiting her initial appearance.
