MDWFP’s K-9 Unit recently conducted their annual certification.⁠
⁠
Throughout this training, they responded to hunting and fishing investigation scenarios, and they located wildlife, fish, human, and hunting equipment odors. The K-9 team also underwent first aid training in order to assure handlers could properly assist their K-9s in case of injuries.⁠
⁠
Later in the week, MDWFP’s cadet class joined in with the K-9 team to experience tracking scenarios of missing and trespassing persons through the woods. ⁠

MDWFP officials say this team has been a great addition to MDWFP’s Law Enforcement Bureau.
