The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department has announced the retirement of veteran officer Allen White.
Between working at Jackson Police Department and the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office, White has served 31 years protecting the people of the Metro area.
“We are thankful for his service and leadership, and we wish him well in retirement and the next phase of life,” said the post from Sheriff Tyree Jones.
White worked his way up the ranks at JPD before transitioning to the Sheriff’s Department when late Sheriff Lee Vance was elected. He continued to work there under Jones.
It was widely agreed that everyone liked his “retirement” shirt.
