At 6:08 am Greenville firefighters were called to Spruce Street about a home on fire.
Engine 5 , Rescue 2 and Command 1 were dispatched. When Engine 5 arrived, they found the home fully engulfed with flames with power lines down and sparking.
Firefighters began a defensive fire attack to extinguish the fire.
The home was vacant. Engine 1 was dispatched to assist with manpower. Firefighters continued to fight the blaze until it was completely extinguished.
There were no injuries at the time of this fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
