The Oxford Police Department arrested two men in connection with a series of vehicle thefts and burglaries.

On September 24, officers responded to a motor vehicle theft on the 2000 block of Heritage Drive.

An investigation revealed that the suspects, 22-year-old Caleb Carrothers, and 20-year-old Demarcus Govan, both of Oxford, were involved in multiple vehicle thefts and the removal of personal items from various vehicles.

On September 29, police received two additional reports of vehicle thefts on Haden Lane, further identifying Carrothers and Govan as suspects.

The investigation uncovered evidence linking the pair to several other vehicle-related crimes.

Carrothers and Govan have been charged with Commercial Burglary, two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft, and three counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.

Their bond has been set by a Municipal Court judge. The investigation is ongoing.
