Two people were injured Sunday evening in some sort of explosion in Forrest County.
According to Captain John Tryner, head of Criminal Investigations, the explosion happened around 8:00 p.m.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Gandy Street in Petal in reference to reports of a possible explosion.
Multiple units from the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call and determined that two individuals had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Both of them were taken to area hospitals for treatment and the investigation into how both of them were injured is ongoing.
