On Sunday, January 21 at 8:37 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 55 in Pike County.
A 2007 Cadillac Escalade driven by 19-year-old Mauricio Gonzalez of McComb traveled south on I-55 when it left the roadway, overturned, and collided with a tree.
The two passengers, 25-year-old Carlos Gonzalez and 19-year-old Oscar Gonzalez, both of McComb, received fatal injuries from the crash and were pronounced dead on the scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
