Two Arrested On Burglary Of Vehicle Charges In Tupelo

Two men were arrested on Burglary of Vehicle charges in Tupelo.

The incidents were separate.

Jordan H. Smith:

On August 20, at 2:05 a.m. officers with the Tupelo Police Department responded to Scott Street in reference to a vehicle being burglarized.

When officers arrived, they talked to the property owner who provided a description of the suspect.

Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and he was taken into custody.

On August 20, after further investigation, 22-year-old Jordan Smith was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Vehicle.

On August 21, his bond was set at $15,000.

This case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.

Za’darius Donald:

Around the week of June 3rd, the Tupelo Police Department took multiple reports of vehicles being broken into in west Tupelo residential areas.

The vehicle burglaries happened during the night and most of the vehicles were unlocked.

On August 15, 19-year-old Za’darius Donald, from Guntown, was arrested and charged with eight counts of Burglary of a vehicle.

This is the third arrest made in this investigation.

On August 16, his bond was set at $15,000.

This case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
