According to WLOX, two people were arrested in Jackson County after two incidents involving a school bus and a gun on August 23.
Moss Point police told WLOX that warrants were issued for 23-year-old Edwin Eugene White and 40-year-old Jacinta Kendral McPherson.
Officials say McPherson allegedly used a vehicle to block a school bus, which was carrying children at the time, while White attempted to confront the bus with a gun in his hand.
Later on, police responded to Kreole Elementary School after a parent reported seeing a man with a handgun.
White was charged with felony simple assault against a school official.
He is at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center with no bond set yet.
WLOX reports that McPherson was charged with interference with the operation of a school bus. She was released on a signature bond.
The Moss Point Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office are both investigating the incident.
