Two Arrested After Gunfire At Starkville KFC

A fight at KFC in Starkville on Saturday leads to gunfire and two arrests.
According to police, on April 15, police arrested 18-year-old Jordyn Barrett and a 16-year-old male after a fight that happened at the restaurant on 127 A Highway 12 W.
During the physical altercation, the 16-year-old produced a firearm.
The arrestees began fighting over the firearm, causing it to fire. Police said the two males knew each other.
Barrett is charged with simple assault. The 16-year-old male, who will be referred to youth court, was charged with simple assault and possession of a firearm by a minor.
