Two Arrested After Argument Leads To Shooting In Tunica

On Monday, June 17, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired near Tate Avenue and Mitchell Cove in Tunica.

When deputies arrived, they learned that there was a dispute between two men and another man that escalated, resulting in shots being fired at the third individual.

All three males were detained and transported to the Tunica County Jail for further investigation.

As of Thursday, June 20, the following arrests and charges have been filed:

  • Jakyland Anderson, 22, of Tunica, MS
    • Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within a Populated Area
    • Aggravated Assault
  • Jordan Anderson, 20, of Tunica, MS
    • Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within a Populated Area
    • Aggravated Assault

The investigation is ongoing.
