A shooting in the Haven Acres community in Tupelo left one man seriously injured.
Tupelo Police responded to a call at approximately 11:15 AM on Tuesday, reporting a gunshot victim in the 3000 block of Beasley Drive.
Officers arrived to find an adult male who had been shot inside a home following a disturbance.
Witnesses stated that a man entered the house and an argument ensued, during which the intruder shot the victim twice before fleeing the scene. The victim and suspect were known to each other.
The victim was transported to the North Mississippi Medical Center with serious injuries. Tupelo Police are actively searching for the suspect, and his name may be released later.
