On September 10, officers from the Tupelo Police Department responded to reports of vehicle burglaries in the Shea Street area.
When they arrived, they spoke with a property owner who reported that a suspect had broken a window of his vehicle and stolen items.
While officers were investigating the scene, additional patrol units in the area made contact with a nearby individual.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Tiyosha L. Pratt, of Nettleton, was found in possession of stolen property from the burglary.
Following further investigation, Pratt was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Vehicle. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set Pratt’s bond at $20,000. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
