On August 19, the Tupelo Police Department arrested 35-year-old Jeremy R. Hood, of Nettleton, in connection with a burglary and grand larceny at Cooper Tire, located at 1689 South Green Street.

Hood was served with two Lee County Circuit Court Capias Warrants—one for Burglary of a Commercial Building and another for Grand Larceny—following two separate incidents in 2024 where multiple items were stolen from the business.

The Lee County Circuit Court has ordered Hood to be held on bonds totaling $40,000—$15,000 for the burglary charge and $25,000 for the grand larceny charge.

The case is currently awaiting trial in Lee County Circuit Court.
