The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 40-year-old Jason Lambert, of Tupelo, on charges of Domestic Violence-Aggravated Assault and Felony Malicious Mischief.

Lambert was arrested on Tuesday, June 2.

He is accused of committing these criminal acts on June 15, in the 200 block of Danny Witt Lane in Pontotoc County.

He allegedly physically assaulted his former girlfriend and destroyed most of her home furnishings. Patrol deputies also found that he had three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) – Molotov cocktails – that Lambert had armed and fueled.

Following his arrest, Lambert was booked into the Pontotoc County Adult Detention Center. CID officers collected, rendered safe, and transported the IEDs to the State Crime Lab for analysis and latent print examination. The investigation is ongoing.
