On June 20, the Tupelo Police Department received a report of abuse involving a vulnerable adult.
The victims reported that 23-year-old Brandon Maldonado, of Tupelo, repeatedly abused them in various ways to steal money and use their vehicle.
Following an investigation, Maldonado was arrested on June 26, and charged with two counts of Vulnerable Person, Felonious Infliction of Pain.
On June 27, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Maldonado to be held without bond. The charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
