As Hurricane Francine came through Mississippi, a tree fell on a home in Meridian.

The house was on HWY 19 North in Suqualena. A large tree toppled, crashing onto a house. The devastation was captured in a photo taken by Odie Barrett, a member of the Lauderdale Emergency Management Agency (LEMA).

Emergency responders are on high alert, working around the clock as Hurricane Francine continues to bring torrential rain and strong winds. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the scene, but many residents in the area are now assessing the impact as the storm moves on.

Local authorities are urging residents to stay indoors and off the roads as they work to clear debris and restore power.
