On December 12, at approximately 2:30 am Tupelo Police Officers were dispatched to the West Main Street area for a report of occupants in a white Nissan Altima throwing bottles and causing a disturbance.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the cross-town area.
The initial investigation led to the discovery of marijuana, codeine syrup and fentanyl.
Agents of the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit arrested 20-year-old Ladarius Denman (Verona) for Felony Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance; codeine and 26-year-old Aysia Harris (Tupelo) for Felony Possession of Fentanyl.
Denman’s bond was set at $15,000 and Harris is being held without bond.
Harris was free eon felony bonds for two separate trafficking fentanyl charges from April 2022 and July 2022.
