Jackson Police are investigating a drive-by shooting and Aggravated Assault that occurred around noon today in the 1100 block of Woodville Drive that left a toddler injured.

A 3-year-old girl was playing in the front yard when an unknown dark sedan drove past the residence and fired shots at the home, striking her. The child was transported to Batson Children Clinic. Her condition is currently unknown, police said.
