According to WLBT, the Jackson Fire Department responded to a fire on Barrier Place near Raymond Road.

Fire officials said the fire broke out just before 5 a.m. this morning.

WLBT spoke with a man who lives at the home who was able to escape before the home burned down. He said that three of his dogs were killed in the fire. The mother of the dogs was able to escape.

The man also told WLBT that he remembered blowing out a candle before going to bed, but he woke up to flames.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated at this time.
