Three Arrested in Starkville After 25 Auto Burglaries, 2 Stolen Vehicles

Three individuals were arrested in Starkville after a rash of auto burglaries.

On November 7, the police department received 25 auto burglaries and two stolen vehicle reports that happened between Saturday night and Tuesday morning.

Out of those 27 reports, police said that five firearms were stolen. Most of those were later recovered.

18-year-old Anthony Buchanan (of Starkville) and a 15-year-old were arrested on Tuesday, November 7, at The Grove Apartments on Lynn Lane.

They have been charged with numerous counts of auto burglary.

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with three counts of possession of a stolen firearm. Police said that more arrests are expected.

The police department said to remember to always lock your vehicle doors and secure valuables before going to bed each night.
