Three Arrested In Panola County After Homeowner Saw Them Through Security Camera

Three people were arrested in Panola County on drug-related charges and warrants.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, on Monday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m., Sheriff Phelps was notified by a resident on Macdeonia Road that several people were seen on camera at their home backing up to an enclosed trailer.

The caller talked to them through the security camera and the suspects fled in a red SUV. Deputies converged on the area and tried to find the vehicle.

Narcotics Agent Chuck Henson found the vehicle at a home on Highway 51 near Barnacre Road.

Sheriff Phelps and Deputies arrested three suspects at the home. They were identified as 44-year-old Lakedrick Whitehead, of Sardis, charged with Trespassing and Possession of Paraphernalia (also wanted in Tallahatchie County for Grand Larceny.

45-year-old Stephanie Potts, of Sardis, was charged with Trespassing. 34-year-old Melissa Sorrells, of Sardis, was found hiding under a bed at the house. She had an active bench warrant through Circuit Court.
