On Friday, June 14, the Hattiesburg Police Department arrested three individuals in connection to the deadly shooting of USM football player, 21-year-old Marcus “MJ” Daniels, Jr., and charged them with capital murder.
Source: University of Southern Miss- Orlando May, 18, of Hattiesburg, is charged with one count of capital murder, one count of attempted armed carjacking, one count of felony eluding, and two counts of grand larceny auto.
- Allen Marcus Gardner, 17, of Houston, Texas, is charged as an adult with one count of capital murder and one count of attempted armed carjacking.
- Samir Green, 16, of Hattiesburg, is charged as an adult with one count of capital murder and one count of attempted armed carjacking.
All three suspects have been booked into the Forrest County Jail.
