On Monday evening, October 7, officers from the Terry Police Department responded to a serious accident involving a pedestrian on I-55 northbound near mile marker 77. The incident happened at approximately 7:40 p.m.
A white male in his mid-30s was struck by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene after the collision. The victim was critically injured and was airlifted to The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson for emergency care.
