Teenagers Wearing Masks Arrested After Allegedly Shooting At Man In Panola County

Sunday morning, a citizen called the Panola County Sheriff’s Department to say that they had been shot at.
The call was received at 8:22 a.m. by Panola County E-911 Dispatch.
The caller said they were in the Green Hill subdivision when he was shot at by a group of people in a vehicle.
Sgt. Marieo Presley responded to the area to see if he could find the vehicle. While on Main Street, he noticed four males, dressed in black, with masks on, in a vehicle on Court Street.
Sgt. Presley turned around to make an investigative stop on the vehicle, and as he was turning around, the vehicle attempted to flee the area.
The vehicle, a maroon Chevrolet Malibu, struck another vehicle disabling it.
Four black males, dressed in black, wearing masks or hoodies, ran from the vehicle.
PCSO Deputies, including Sheriff Shane Phelps and Chief Deputy Reginald Lantern, responded to Sardis and set up a perimeter, along with assistance from the Sardis Police Department. PCSO K-9 “Lambo” and PCSO K-9 “John 3:16” were deployed.
Three of the four juveniles, 14 and 15 years old, were located and apprehended; the fourth juvenile is still at large.
A stolen firearm was recovered by the sheriff’s department and charges are pending.
