JPD Precinct 1 is investigating the armed robbery of two businesses.

The suspects first robbed the Family Dollar located at 4610 Terry Road and approximately thirty minutes later, the Dollar General located at 648 Raymond Road.

One suspect was an unidentified black male wearing all-black clothing with gloves and a hood.

According to Jackson police, the suspect used an assault rifle in the commission of the robberies.

It is believed that at least two suspects were involved in the robberies according to witnesses.

The suspects are traveling in a stolen black Toyota Avalon bearing license number (2378MOE).

This vehicle was stolen during a previous robbery over the weekend.

Suspects should be considered armed and dangerous! This is an ongoing investigation.
