According to WDAM, a man from Alabama was shot and killed over the weekend at a Mississippi bar.
24-year-old Brandon Michael Cartwright, from Fruitdale, Alabama, was identified as the victim, by Wayne County Deputy Coroner Blake Kelly.
The shooting happened on Saturday, around 2:00 a.m. in Wayne County.
The Waynesboro Police Department is investigating. WDAM said they believe the suspect was seen leaving the scene in a tan Sports Utility Vehicle.
The victim’s family created a GoFundMe to help with funeral costs for their loved one.
