According to WTVA, a student was arrested at Columbus High School after a gun was found on campus.
18-year-old Javeon Colebrook was allegedly driving recklessly through the parking lot during the school’s Homecoming Bonfire around 7:30 p.m.
WTVA reports that he nearly collided with a police officer.
When officers stopped him, they found a gun in his vehicle.
Colebrook was charged with possession of a weapon on school property and reckless driving and is now being held in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
