A Stone County man is behind bars on child abuse charges, according to a release from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, investigators were made aware of supposed physical abuse against a child. During the course of the investigation, investigators found probable cause to charge Jim Rouse with Felonious Child Abuse.

No further details of the investigation have been released.

Rouse will be held at the Stone County Regional Correctional Facility, awaiting bail, to be set by a justice court judge.
