Stolen Vehicle Recovered Through Joint Effort by George and Jackson County Sheriffs

On August 20, the George County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, successfully recovered a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day from Jackson County. It was found and secured through coordinated efforts between the two departments.

Utilizing advanced communication systems and shared resources, deputies were able to track the vehicle to George County, where it was recovered without incident.

Sheriff Mitchell Mixon of George County commended the teamwork involved, stating,

“This successful recovery exemplifies the strong working relationship between our two counties. Our shared commitment to public safety and swift action allowed us to bring this situation to a positive conclusion.”

43-year-old Corey Tate, of Moss Point, Mississippi, has been arrested and charged with Motor Vehicle Theft. He is currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing as both sheriff’s offices continue to collaborate to ensure those responsible are held accountable. The public is encouraged to report any information related to this theft or other criminal activities to their local sheriff’s office.

All individuals involved are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
