Two local businesses came out to Brookhaven Animal Rescue Wednesday to volunteer their time and resources to help the animals.
A local roofing company called Carroll’s Metal Roofing LLC and a local decking company called G.T. Decking LLC.
The two companies didn’t charge anything and brought their crews and used their time and talents to help Brookhaven Animal Rescue League and help with any repairs they needed.
Lance, with Carroll’s Metal Roofing LLC crew worked on replacing the roof of one of the dog houses.
BARL said that these wonderful, custom-made dog houses were built by a man named Billy Mitchell back in 2006. Hundreds of animals have stayed in these nice houses over the years and now this one is ready to have even more happy residents.
Lance and his crew also replaced the cat door that leads from the cat room to the sun porch.
They then replaced any rusted metal sheets around the outside of the main building.
BARL said on their Facebook post that when Lance finished projects, he said “What else?”
“We are so thankful for Mr. Carroll’s generosity. Glory to God for his tender loving care over BARL and our animals.
Tristin with GT Decking LLC, brought his team out to repair dog houses as well. They built ramps and they are building a new mega dog house for the dog residents at the shelter.
As Tristin and his crew see things that need repaired, they are repairing them.
BARL said,
“We can’t explain how much this work means to us. We have wonderful volunteers; however, we don’t have volunteers with the skills and tools to do all of this. We are so blessed Mr. Huff chose to lend a hand at BARL. Blessed be the Lord who sends what BARL needs.”
 
The world definitely needs more people like Lance and Tristin.
